Under license from Flowserve Limitorque USA who has more than 70 years of history and field experiences in valve actuators, Nippon Gear has been manufacturing actuators in Japan with high appraisal and deep reliance. We have adopted a torque motor having a large starting torque and small inertia, which is optimum for valve opening and closing operation, a faultless limit switches with wide applicability. These valve actuators find applications in a wide range of industrial environments, from petroleum, nuclear, and generating plants to water/sewer pipelines advanced. Further, we are undertaking improvement development of actuators with our own new technologies.

They convert rotational motion to linear motion through gears, so they eliminate the need for hydraulic pumps or compressors; in addition, they are compact, produce little noise, and are easy to maintain. The G-Link System is a network system developed for the field equipments with high-speed, anti-noise, is being supplied to various plants. Especially in the network system of motor operated valves, about 5,000 electrical valve actuators are contributed for reduction of labor at plants. Nippon Gear is developing and offering the digital systems can correspond to the various needs; contributes to labor saving and efficiency improving automation systems with high performance, cost-effectiveness and high-durability.

Sensor Control
The RC Encoder has been successful and has received high appraisal as the multiple revolution type, battery less absolute encoder with original construction and precise gear technology. The RC encoder ranges from 12bit to 16bit while the high resolution RC encoder ranges from 12bit to 20bit or the CT resolution which can be made depending on the user’s applicability.

Condition Monitoring System
The Motor Operated Valve Diagnostic Analysis System (MOVDAS) is an epoch-making diagnosis system that quantitatively grasps the state of things of the electrical valve. MOVDAS can diagnose during an operation. It evaluates the performance in the start. Then it calculates the percentage of deteriorated parts.
It also suggests the appropriate time to change the parts. Management tendency is possible with this machine; the valve element and engine can also be summarized as a health diagnosis. This is the best solution. The construction of continuous supervisory system at the nuclear power generation facility not only contributes to reduction of routine inspection period and dose decrease of radioactive rays in workers but also cost reduction effect depending on rational work distribution and as assembly/ disassembly degradation in efficiency evasion. The Motor Operated Valve Diagnostic Analysis System (MOVDAS) is Nippon Gear Co.,ltd. and The Japan Atomic Power Company’s joint development product.
